An Inter-University quiz competition was organized by the department of Mathematics and Statistics, IIS (Deemed to be University), Jaipur on 1st October 2023.
To select the IIS team, an entrance test was conducted on 23/09/2023, in which 42 students participated. The result was declared on the same day at 4 pm. Total 6 students were selected. 2 teams were made among these students, each team consisted of 3 students and these 2 teams participated in the main event “DataMatics”.
“DataMatics” was a 4 round competition which covered the areas of Statistics and Mathematics.Total 22 teams registered for the event from the different universities of Jaipur and 17 teams participated in it. Each team had 3 members in total. The participants were asked to report at 9:30 AM. The judging panel consisted of 3 judges - Dr Pooja Choraria, Dr Surendra Kumar Agarwal & Dr. Rajni Gupta.
1st Round was played by all the 17 teams After which 12 teams were qualified for the round 2.
2nd Round was played by the 1 teams. After which 8 teams were qualified for the round 3.
Then there was a break of 15 minutes.
3rd Round was played by qualified 8 teams and only 5 teams were selected for the next round.
Qualified 5 teams participated in the 4th Round and top 3 were the Winners.
Result:
Team Arithmetic Avengers (ICFAI University ,Jaipur) was declared the winner of the quiz competition, followed by Bucky Binomial (St. Wilfred'S P.G. College, Jaipur) and then Stark Solution (Parishkar College of Global Excellence,Jaipur)
First Position : Team Arithmetic Avengers: Aditya Yadav, Ayush Tyagi, Archit Ameriya (The ICFAI University, Jaipur)
Second Position : Team Bucky Binomials: Lakshya Verma, Gaurav Sharma, Prajjwal Yadav (St. Wilfred'S P.G. College, Jaipur)
Third Position : Team Stark Solution: Bharat Kumar Jat, Nitesh Saini, Purab Kumavat (Parishkar College of Global Excellence, Jaipur)
Prof. T.N. Mathur Vice Chancellor of IIS (Deemed to be University) and our judges honoured the winners with a trophy and certificates. Overall, the Inter-University Quiz Competition was a huge triumph.
