A survey activity on " Is 75% Attendance Rule beneficial for Students or not?" was done by students of Statistics at IIS (deemed to be UNIVERSITY) between 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The objective of the study was to evaluate whether 75% attendance rule is actually beneficial to students and also to compare college wise performance and attendance criteria of students and to check if there is any correlation between the attendance of students and the marks obtained. Data was collected using Google forms from college students studying in our as well as other colleges having 75% attendance rule such as St. Xavier’s College, MNIT, JECRC College, Maharaja College, Maharani College and Commerce College, Jaipur.
Analysis was done using Ms Excel and SPSS and on the basis of the results obtained it can be concluded that the 75% attendance criteria has become redundant in recent times. It was also observed that there is a high positive correlation between the marks obtained by the students and their aggregate percentage.
