The Department of Statistics IIS deemed to be University, Jaipur organized an orientation programme for newly admitted 1st semester students of UG and PG in coordination with PG 3rd semester students, 5th semester students and faculty members at the institute premises on 3rd September 2022 from 10:30am to 12:00pm in LAB- D.

 

It started with a welcome speech by head of the department Dr. Pooja Choraria. The Additional head Ms. Surbhi Gupta briefly described to the newly admitted students about the university, department of statistics, their time table, syllabus, MS teams and marking schemes for CA & semester end exams. The main objective of the programme was to make the students aware of the academic aspects of the course, the rules and regulations of the college.

 

The orientation was held in two segments. First segment was led by PG final year students and in the other segment UG final year students led the activity like Guess the movie, Alliterate name game and fun facts. In the activities the students were divided into 4 teams. Team (Khushi, Anamika, khusboo and Urvashi) and team (Abhilasha, khushboo, Aditi and Anamika) were winners in the activities for first and second segments respectively. The orientation richly accomplished with pleasure in each student.
