A guest lecture was organized on 4^th February 2022 for UG and PG students of statistics. It started with the welcome address given by one of the student of department. She acquainted students about the scope of statistics along with the need and importance of data analyst in private sector. She elucidated the importance and use of statistics in fields like retail, media, entertainment, sports, travel industry, etc. by giving appropriate examples.

She discussed about the key steps required to crack the interview and secure the job in any of the companies. She made us understand the importance of learning either of the coding language like R, python or visualization tools.

The session was very interactive and informative in nature, and the students were highly motivated.

It ended with the thank you note which was conveyed via the student and head of the department both.
